The Sound of Piano, Strings & Voice Music Festival (The SPSV)

The Sound of Piano, Strings & Voice International Music Festival has been successfully held six times since 2015, and 2024 will be the first time it has resumed after the pandemic!

Previous students have benefited a lot from the SPSV music festival master classes. Many students have received professional inspiration from the activities and have gone to famous music schools at home and abroad, including Juilliard School, New England Conservatory of Music, Manhattan School of Music, Royal Academy of Music, and the United Kingdom. Royal Northern Conservatoire, Academy of Music and Dance in Cologne, Germany, University of the Arts Berlin, Central Conservatory of Music, Shanghai Conservatory of Music, etc.

We not only have Chinese young musicians but also from all over the world, attracting students and music lovers from the United States, South Korea, Ireland, Italy, Taiwan(China), and other countries and regions. It has been reported in major medias at home and abroad multiple times, building a bridge for local music lovers to contact world music concepts.

In 2024, we will re-launch the SPSV Music Festival to provide music students with richer and higher-standard learning opportunities. We look forward to working with all the music masters to meet you in Xi’an and create the beauty of music together.

Transportation

All participants must submit a copy of their travel plan during the festival to the festival administration office before the festival. Request for special assistance must be applied before June 15, 2024. All participants are responsible for the traffic expenses incurred by traveling between activity locations and where they stay.

Eligible Applicants

1. Students who intend to study abroad and apply to the world’s top music schools, the UK’s TOP5 music schools, the German TOP5 music schools, the US’s TOP10 music schools, Ivy League universities, etc.
2. Students who intend to improve their background to study abroad in the music major.
3. Students majoring in piano, violin, viola, cello and vocal music from all across the world.
4. Students are required to have a certain musical knowledge and skills, or pass relevant instrument/vocal music examinations, or have competition or performance experience, or be students/graduates of professional art colleges, or be engaged in music-related occupations (those under 18 years old need to be accompanied by their parents or submit the temporary guardianship letter signed by their parents).
5. Primary school students, middle school students, college students, graduate students and teachers are all welcomed.

Refund Policy

After paying the registration fee, if you apply to withdraw from the class due to personal reasons, you must submit a formal written application.

The refund policy is as follows: apply before June 15th, excluding 20% of the total fee as event preparation fee; the rest, 80% of the total fee paid, will be refunded; if you cancel your participation in the event between June 16th and July 7th, you will be refunded 50% of the total fee paid, excluding 50% of the event preparation fee; if you apply to cancel your participation in the class after July 7, all paid fees will not be refunded.

Application Materials

1. A completed application form;
2. Two 2-inch passport standard e-image （use your name as the file name）;
3. Photocopy of the passport bio page and visa page (if you applicable);
4. A brief CV or performance experience summary, and a repertoire of the applicants’ best pieces;
5. A piece of performance audio or video recording;
